Let's just say that my son was...well...a challenge to raise.  I began illustrating my life with Jason William Shane Mayer when he was two months old and stopped about the time he graduated from high school.  He recently turned 27 and I gave him a book of my illustrations for his birthday.  I might add that he has transformed into an awesome young man.  I was once told by a well-respected and very wise elder, "Never, ever give up on your children."  I never did and I'm living my reward today.  Below is an excerpt of the book.  I apologize as the scanning quality of my computer is not that great.
