Only Birds Can Fly

Only Birds Can Fly is a memoir of truths & lies, so, therefore, I call it fiction.

Over 100 short stories--spanning 100 years--tell about  women and their struggles to find happiness while, at the same time, adhering to the rules.  Using their own journals, as well as stories handed down from mothers and grandmothers, best friends Sarah Clayton and Amy Baxter begin to see through the lies that dictated their own destructive paths in life.

On January 15th, 2008, Only Birds Can Fly was selected as a semi-finalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards contest that was held in conjunction with Penguin Books.
