This is my first Melting Clock. It measures 18" tall by 10" wide at the very top. The wood is Birch veneer and Poplar stained with Cherry finish. The sides are cut out of thin aluminum flashing. The silver fork is complements of 1835 R. Wallace. This clock is a gift for my son-in-law who is a surrealist fan. See second picture down for second Melting Clock with similar Country Cottage finish.
Background on my first Melting Clock: I made a clock from scratch that was not funky enough for me, so I downloaded its picture onto my computer and let PhotoShop go to work. I took the results from PhotoShop to my shop and began the challenge of building this clock that appears to be melting. The face on this first clock is not of my design, so I have created my own variety of original melting faces for all future clocks.
