I found this very old book shelf at a roadside flea market in the mountains of North Carolina. The doors were made of plywood and it had many layers of paint. I made new doors and using aluminum flashing from Lowes, I hammered in the star detail with a naiI. I painted the cabinet red and then black. Later I rubbed and sanded some of the black off to show many of the colors below. I'm keeping this piece. The second picture down is the BEFORE.
